Sadly enough, I had to result to canceling my payment method because this company intentionally hides their means of cancellation. This causes undue and unnecessary changes that has to be made with other companies that I do credible business with.
Companies like this are a real problem for the consumer. So if you find yourself stuck with a subscription that you no longer want and can’t for whatever reason seem to cancel that subscription, the only resolve is to cancel you means of payment.
1. I called them and was told Id have to cancel through whatever platform I subscribed. Since I was sure I did via their website I went there. NOTHING!
I then went to the app. Nothing! On my TV, nothing! I called my bank and since I used a debit card I was told that Id have to cancel my debit card in order to stop them from continuously charging my card.
I was told by my bank that because I have an iPhone that the Apple wallet had my card linked to a sister program for which I cant remember the name and that is how AMC was getting paid. So they suggested that I unlink my card in the Apple wallet to try and prevent them from charging me further. Which the unlinking was successful, but on the day that the payment was to come out they were still able to charge my card anyway. Somehow Apple allowed the card to be linked back and payment was then taken.
This is certainly unscrupulous and should somehow be against the law!
So to sum things up, I went through every possible avenue that existed to cancel and had absolutely no success, because they are not acknowledging that I signed up on any of the four possible ways to subscribe. Shame on this horrible unscrupulous company!

AMC is the absolute WORST. The way they offer customer service is only through Instagram, and it's horrible feed back.
It takes hours. The APP Never works with the password. The password reset doesn't work, and the error messages keep coming up and don't clear. I would t be surprised if they tell me I have to set up a new account with a new email, instead of fixing the existing system and issue, like a good business would, they will make it the problem of the consumer.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! NOT RECOMMENDED! It takes hours to get a reply - any action I take on the app logs me out of the chat. And the person helping me logs off.
I then have to wait hours more for assistance. The only time I was able to sign in to the app was when I first registered. Every other time for the last 4 years, the app is broken, and I can only sign on the web page. Even then, my account is locked half
of the time, and I have to reset my password.
This is the WORST system ever. For such a large corporation, their customer service is the absolute WORST! I'm so incredibly disappointed. I went to several theaters to get help from management, and they said that they couldn't assist me (completely inept!) and the workers referred me back to this ridiculous customer service which is automated and faulty and not at all efficient.
If someone were trying to see a movie, it would take hours to get assistance. There's NO PHONE SUPPORT AVAILABLE!!! There's one phone number to call and when I did call, I had to go through Facebook Messenger - seriously???. UGH!
This is maddening! I pay MY HARD EARNED MONEY EVERY MONTH FOR A BENEFIT THAT I Can't EVEN USE BECAUSE the AMC SYSTEM ISN'T WORKING AND THERE'S NO ONE TO ASSIST ME WHO CAN FIX MY DANG ACCOUNT! If this is the future of their company, and caliber of workers, Im so sad for their corporation! Theyre in serious trouble!
They really need management to do their job, because at this point, everyone is dropping the ball. I cannot get assistance.
My account is locked, and I have points to use, free tickets Im owed and no one will assist me. Im pissed!
